What we collect
When you vote 👍 or 👎 using the VibeClaude Chrome extension, we record:
- Your vote (up or down).
- A random identifier (UUID) generated by the extension and stored locally in your browser. This UUID is not tied to your name, email, or any other account, and is used only to prevent abusive duplicate voting.
- A salted, truncated hash of your IP address (rate-limit signal — the original IP is never stored).
- The timestamp of the vote.
We do not record the URL of the page you were on when you voted.
When you visit heyvibeclaude.com
When you load a page on heyvibeclaude.com (this site), we log:
- The path you visited (e.g.
/,/privacy). - The referrer — the site you came from, if any (e.g.
https://www.linkedin.com/). Direct visits and bookmarks have no referrer. - A salted, truncated hash of your IP address and your browser's user-agent string.
- The timestamp.
We use this purely to understand how people are finding the project. We do not link site visits to extension UUIDs.
What we don't collect
- We don't collect your name, email, or any account information.
- We don't track you across the web. The extension only runs on Claude.ai and on heyvibeclaude.com.
- We don't read or store the contents of your conversations with Claude.
- We don't use third-party analytics, advertising trackers, or fingerprinting.
How we use this data
Aggregate counts of votes are published publicly on heyvibeclaude.com and inside the extension popup. Your individual UUID is never shown to anyone.
Where data lives
Vote data is stored in a Supabase Postgres database hosted in the United States (us-east-1). The site is served by Vercel.
Deleting your data
To delete your UUID's vote history, clear the VibeClaude extension's storage in Chrome (Settings → Extensions → VibeClaude → Storage) or uninstall the extension. Existing rows tied to that UUID will be deleted on request — email eric@marcoullier.com with your UUID.
